Business Development Operations Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a Coordinator, Sales Operations to join our sales team. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, providing critical sales support, and contributing directly to revenue goals.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Operations & Administration

  • Work closely with sales leadership to coordinate sales operations, including process optimization, structural alignment, and revenue reporting.

  • Manage and maintain CRM systems (eg - Salesforce, Excel) to ensure data accuracy and streamlined workflows.

  • Coordinate with the SVP Strategic Partnerships and CEO to create, monitor, and evaluate individual and corporate sales goals.

  • Develop sales forecasts and analyze performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.

Sales Support

  • Provide direct support to the sales team, including:

    • Conducting market analysis to identify opportunities.

    • Leading proactive and reactive prospecting efforts.

    • Managing and maintaining up-to-date sales materials.

    • Assisting with client proposals and overseeing their preparation.

    • When required, develop PowerPoint proposals to send to prospects

  • Participate in client meetings, ensuring all relevant information is accurately documented.

  • Prepare and own client cost summaries in collaboration with sourcing partners.

Team Coordination & Leadership

  • Monitor and guide the daily/weekly activities of the sales intern team.

  • Manage the student internship program, ensuring meaningful contributions and professional growth opportunities.

  • Keep the sales team informed about industry trends and emerging sales categories to expand prospecting opportunities.

  • Drive proactive ideation for current and prospective clients, offering innovative solutions to meet their needs.

Reporting & Communication

  • Submit activity and results reports to the CEO, including weekly call reports, work plans, and monthly/annual performance summaries.

  • Collaborate with Account Management and Operations teams on new and ongoing marketing programs.

Program Development & Research

  • Conduct research to identify potential brands and categories that align with the K-12 target audience.

  • Ideate and develop future CM core solutions and ownable IP that can be monetized with brands and deliver value to schools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business development, or a similar role.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (eg - Salesforce, SponsorCX and HubSpot), Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting and reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive mindset and passion for creating innovative solutions.
