Missouri Department of Transportation | Smart Riders Initiative
Missouri Department of Transportation partnered with Campus Multimedia to expand the reach of the Smart Riders program to elementary schools throughout the state.
Participating schools received books on driving safety, Smart Riders stickers, and classroom prizes. Select schools also received an oversized Rider’s License photo prop to commemorate program completion.
Program Wins:
Increased engagement in elementary schools of the Smart Riders curriculum
Provided resources to parents, teachers, and caregivers to help their child/student learn more about staying safe while in or around cars
Teachers reported that after the program, the number of students who were extremely knowledgeable about traffic safety increased by 41%.
